Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Your privacy is important to us. We have read this policy twice.
This policy explains what personal data Wait It Out Studios handles when you use our website and our games (including Please Hold for Profit, Prompt & Pray and Cubbles: Fit the Pieces), how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Wait It Out Studios, run by Kristian Lüttge (sole proprietorship), Klintekongevej 22, 2730 Herlev, Denmark. CVR: 42724424.
Contact: support@waitoutstudios.dev
2. Where this policy applies
- This website and the browser versions of our games.
- Our mobile apps for iOS and Android, once they are released. They are planned and not available yet. We expect them to be free to download, to show advertising, and to offer in-app purchases.
The browser versions do not currently show ads or sell purchases. Because the mobile apps are not released yet, the sections about them describe what we plan to do. We will update this policy before the apps go live. Where something applies only to the mobile apps, we say so.
3. What we collect
Website and browser games
- Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver and secure the site, and keeps standard server logs.
- Game progress and settings. These are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. We do not receive them.
- The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Mobile apps (planned)
- Game progress and settings. Stored on your device. We do not create accounts, and we do not receive your progress unless a future version adds cloud saving, in which case we will update this policy first.
- Purchase information. Purchases go through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. They process your payment and keep your payment details. We do not see your card number. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and which item it was, so we can unlock it and restore it later.
- Advertising data. Our advertising partners (see section 6) may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device type and operating system, app version, language, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about the ads you see and interact with.
- Analytics and crash data. We may collect information about how the app is used and when it crashes, such as device model, operating system and the screens you open, to fix bugs and improve the games.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
4. How we use your data and our legal basis
- Provide the games and unlock purchases. Needed to fulfil the service you asked for (contract).
- Show advertising. Ads fund the free games. Where the law requires it, for example in the EEA and the UK, we ask for your consent before personalised advertising or access to your advertising identifier (consent). Without consent you may still see ads, but they are not personalised.
- Measure and improve the games, fix bugs and keep things secure. Our legitimate interest in running and improving a safe service.
- Answer your questions. Legitimate interest and, where relevant, contract.
- Meet legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules for sales.
5. Your choices about advertising
- Consent prompt. If you are in the EEA or the UK, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads. You can change your choice later in the app’s settings.
- iOS. The app may ask permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. You can say no, and you can change this in Settings under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
- Android. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in Settings under Privacy, then Ads.
- Remove ads. If an in-app purchase to remove ads is offered, it stops ads from being shown.
6. Who we share data with
- Advertising partners: We do not show ads yet. Before ads are added to our apps, we will list our advertising partners here and update this policy.
- Analytics and crash-reporting providers, if we use them, who process data on our behalf.
- Apple and Google, who run the app stores and process purchases.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website, the browser games and our email forwarding.
- Authorities and advisers, where the law requires it or where needed to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data for money. Under some US state laws, passing identifiers to advertising partners can count as “sharing” or “selling” for advertising. You can opt out as described in section 5 or by emailing us.
7. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of the providers above process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards such as an adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep data
- Emails to support: as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted.
- Purchase records: as long as the law requires for accounting.
- Data held by advertising, analytics and hosting providers: according to their own retention periods.
- Data stored on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before. Depending on where you live, US state laws give you similar rights, including to know, delete and opt out.
To use these rights, email support@waitoutstudios.dev. We may need to confirm who you are. Because we hold very little data that identifies you, we may ask for your advertising ID or device details to find anything. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Denmark this is Datatilsynet.
10. Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We keep the data we hold to a minimum and use reputable providers. No service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding a new advertising or analytics provider, we will update this page and the date at the top. For material changes affecting the apps, we will also inform you in the app before the change takes effect.
